I enjoy my job at __(Name of Company)__ and am glad to be on board. This is definitely a good company to work for. Unfortunately, however, I have found that I am really struggling with the __(type/name)__ shift that I am scheduled on.
The reason this __(type/name)__ is not working well for me is because __(briefly describe why it’s not working for you.)__. I find that I never get the opportunity to __(list some things that you need to be allowed to do)__. With this shift, it becomes increasingly more difficult to __(briefly describe what it is inhibiting in your life)__.
Therefore, I am requesting that you consider changing my hours to the __(type/name)__ shift. This would remove the hardship I am currently experiencing with trying to maintain my current work hours.
